The Bone Bladed Claymore

Walkthrough

Seize the Inert Bone Bladed Claymore in Stormhold, slay Opolla and Redak, reforge the blade at Runnyeye, kill 1,000 sentient beings, and defeat Gynok Moltar to claim the heritage claymore.

Steps

1. 1. Kill Opolla

   Kill Opolla, a level 42^^^ heroic gnoll shaman, inside Blackburrow. He spawns and attacks as soon as you enter the room directly south of the bridge.

2. 2. Examine the sword (after Opolla)

   Examine the Inert Bone Bladed Claymore in your inventory to advance the quest.

   Zone: Any zone

3. 3. Slay Redak

   Slay Redak, a level 44^^^ heroic troll warrior, located in The Chapel within Stormhold.

4. 4. Examine the sword (after Redak)

   Examine the sword again to advance the quest.

   Zone: Any zone

5. 5. Reforge the blade at Runnyeye

   Forge the hilt and blade into one at the Runnyeye anvil. Head down the path past the bridge, through the goblin rooms, and into the left alcove with the forge and anvil. You must have an ebon cluster.

   • Requires an ebon cluster to reforge the blade.

6. 6. Slay 1,000 sentient beings

   Examine the sword, then slay 1,000 sentient beings. This means killing intelligent monsters such as character races, goblins, gnolls, or lizardmen. Golems, elementals, and most undead are not sentient — but zombies and skeletons do count.

   • The Graveyard, The Ruins, The Sprawl, The Mirror, Blackburrow, and Ruins of Caltorsis are good Antonica options.
   • The valley before Crushbone Keep in Greater Faydark is ideal for AoE killing.
   • Pilgrim's Landing in Frostfang Sea offers rapid respawns for fast grinding.

7. 7. Examine the sword (after sentient kills)

   Examine the sword after completing the 1,000 sentient kills.

   Zone: Any zone

8. 8. Kill Gynok Moltar

   Kill Gynok Moltar (level 47^^^ heroic), the first wielder of the claymore, in Stormhold.

9. 9. Examine the sword for your reward

   Examine the sword a final time to receive your reward. If you have completed Berik's Revenge and carry Berik, Sword of Thunder, you may choose to strike Berik with the claymore to receive Electrified Bone Bladed Claymore instead.

   • Warning: Choosing the Electrified option removes Berik, Sword of Thunder permanently.
   • You can also forge the electrified version later at the Runnyeye forge with both swords in inventory.
