Walkthrough

Rescue captured Green Hood operatives from Deathfist Citadel by scouting Zek, collecting orc scalps, eliminating Sentry Goorlux, and defeating Emperor Fyst.

How to start

Talk to Sashra Thaltalis in Zek, the Orcish Wastes. You must be level 32 or higher. This quest requires completing Operation Green Hood first.

Adventure level 32+ required to start.
Heroic difficulty — Deathfist Citadel and Emperor Fyst require a group.

Steps

1. Find the mine lift
Locate the mine lift in Zek.

2. Return to Sashra Thaltalis
Report back to Sashra Thaltalis after finding the mine lift.

3. Collect orc scalps
Collect 5 scalps each from Sullon centurions, Tallon raiders, and Vallon grunts. You have 60 minutes to complete this step.
- Vallon grunts (Vallon Lumber Mill)

- Sullon centurions (road to Deathfist Citadel / Mythical Forest)

4. Return to Sashra Thaltalis
Return to Sashra with all 15 scalps (5 of each type).

5. Kill Sentry Goorlux
Find and kill Sentry Goorlux. As of LU53 his placeholder was removed — he is almost always up on a 6–8 minute respawn timer.

6. Return to Sashra Thaltalis
Return to Sashra after defeating Sentry Goorlux.

7. Enter Deathfist Citadel
Travel to Deathfist Citadel — enter through the sewers or the front door.

8. Clear the courtyard and ramparts
Kill all named monsters in the courtyard, then proceed to the ramparts. This is required for spawning Emperor Fyst later.

9. Find Infiltrator Stryjin
Locate Infiltrator Stryjin in the southwest tower. Drop in from above — there is no ladder up from the courtyard in the SW tower. Use ladders in either middle tower (left or right) to reach the top.

10. Rescue the three Green Hood women
Rescue Rinis Nightsong, Wensa Neldora, and Shelmay Wavecrest at their respective locations inside the citadel.
- For Shelmay's update, at least one person in the group must obtain the key from Chief Torturer Goortz first.

11. Return to Infiltrator Stryjin
Return to Infiltrator Stryjin after rescuing all three women.

12. Kill Emperor Fyst
After reporting to Infiltrator Stryjin, kill Emperor Fyst to complete the quest and receive your heritage reward.

Tips

Complete Operation Green Hood before attempting this quest.
The 60-minute scalp timer covers all three orc types — plan efficient routes between Vallon Lumber Mill, Tallon camp, and the Deathfist road.
Sentry Goorlux is almost always up since LU53 — check all three known locations if needed.
Get Chief Torturer Goortz's key before attempting Shelmay Wavecrest's rescue.
Clear all courtyard named mobs and reach the ramparts before Fyst will spawn.
