Walkthrough

Follow clues across Kelethin, Qeynos, Nektropos Castle, Fallen Gate, Butcherblock Mountains, and Crushbone Keep to unravel Tessa's plot and earn the Robe of the Oracle heritage reward.

How to start

Examine the Ancient Koada'Dal Brooch dropped by the Aqua Goblin Oracle near Globbsunk Cove in Butcherblock Mountains. Only one character may loot the brooch at a time and the quest is not shareable.

Aqua Goblin Oracle (Globbsunk Cove)

Notes & prerequisites

You must have completed The Everling Lockets to access the basement in Nektropos Castle.
You must speak Orcish to advance during the quest.
Only one character may loot the Ancient Koada'Dal Brooch at a time — the Aqua Goblin Oracle must be killed multiple times in a group (~10-minute respawn).

Steps

1. Speak with Glavarius Marud
Travel to Kelethin and speak with Glavarius Marud to begin the clue chain.

2. Get the first clue
Travel to The Down Below under Qeynos and enter Crow's Resting Place, Thieves Guild. Click a table for a king's court ace, then speak with Fippy Darkpaw, the 4th and give him the ace plus 5 silver.

3. Get the second clue
Travel to Nektropos Castle. Go to Lord Everling's bedroom, click the bookcase, and descend to the basement. Inspect the Empty Crate Note on some crates and examine it from your inventory.

4. Get the third clue
Travel to Fallen Gate in The Commonlands. Kill Zannas of the Arm in Little Neriak and loot Zannas K'Val's Chest for three notes. Examine Tessa's Contingency Plan from your inventory.
- Entering his house spawns three intruder countermeasures — distance-pull Zannas out of the house for safety.
- There is a bug that may place the looted notes in your bank rather than your inventory.
- Zannas of the Arm (Little Neriak)

5. Get the fourth clue
Travel to The Chessboard in Butcherblock Mountains. Harvest a loose stone to receive Tessa's Hidden Notes for Zannas, then examine the note from your inventory.
- The stone is trackable — use track harvestables or a Gnomish Divining Rod.
- The stone is one of the chessboard squares; click right in the center.
- Harvesting spawns four linked level 34 triggered guardians unless you looted the key from Zannas of the Arm, which deactivates the trap.
- You receive the hidden note regardless of whether you kill the guardians.

6. Find the Teir'Dal gemcron
Travel to Butcherblock Bay and kill aqua goblins until you receive an old Teir'Dal gemcron. Examine the gem from your inventory.
- Aqua goblin runts do not give updates — only adult aqua goblins.

7. Speak with the punished magi apprentice
Travel to Clan Crushbone in Greater Faydark. Enter the rightmost mine and speak with the punished magi apprentice. You must speak Orcish to communicate.

8. Collect four clerics of Hate helms
Enter Crushbone Keep and slay four clerics of Hate to obtain their helms. They share a large spawn group with oracles of Hate and D'Vinnian mages, so it may take time to spawn enough clerics.

9. Return to the punished magi apprentice
Return to the punished magi apprentice with the four clerics of Hate helms.

10. Kill Oracle N'Mare
Enter The D'Vinnian Throne within Crushbone Keep. Slay two watchful sentries to unlock doors, pass through the secret door, and kill Oracle N'Mare.
