Kain Starkson's first mate, "Elmo's Fire" Ericsson, has not returned from his mission into Beggar's Court. Now that the area is heavily patrolled by Lucan's guards, Kain needs someone in good standing with Freeport to investigate the area and determine his crewmate's fate. I'm to be that someone!
I found Ericsson, though I managed to stir up a potential heap of trouble while doing so. One of the guards accosted me and I was forced to defend myself to avoid being thrown into the work camp. I did not think it would go over well to be killing Lucan's guards, so I hid the body and made my escape.
I am headed to Beggar's Court to begin my investigation.
Enter Beggar's Court
I've entered Beggar's Court.
I've been sent to Beggar's Court to find Kain's missing first mate. I should start by checking out the houses in the lower section to see if he's been hiding.
Search the west house
Done: I've searched the western house.
Search the southwest house
Done: I've searched the southwestern house.
Search the southeast house
Done: I've searched the southeastern house.
Search the east house
Done: I've searched the eastern house.
I was unable to find Ericsson in the houses.
Ericsson may have been captured and set to work in the upper portion of the court. I should give his description to some guards and see if they've seen him.
Question the guards
The guards were less than helpful.
They did point me to their boss, Snars, however. I should see what he knows.
Speak to the Taskmaster
Done: I've killed Snars.
I've killed a member of the Freeport Militia!
I do not wish to lose standing with the Militia. To cover up my crime, I should hide the body inside the nearby building.
Hide the body!
Done: I've hidden the taskmaster's body.
I've hidden the Taskmaster's body in a small cubby.
I need to return to Kain, to inform him of what transpired in Beggar's Court.
Return to Kain
Done: I've informed Kain of the events in Beggar's Court.
I've spoken to Kain. He's going to help me cover up the killing in Beggar's Court.
