Walkthrough
Prove your worth to Dragoon K'Naae by hunting ash owlbears, slaying undead near Nektropos Castle, retrieving pond water, recovering a stolen weapon from Captain T'Sanne, and surviving an assassin ambush for a Shiny Brass heritage weapon reward.
How to start
Speak with Dragoon K'Naae in the northeast corner of Nektulos Forest, near the tunnel to Darklight Wood.

Notes & prerequisites
- Adventure level 24+ required to obtain this quest.
- If Dragoon K'Naae isn't up, someone may have killed him — respawn time is 5 minutes.

Steps
1. Collect ash owlbear meat
Kill ash owlbears and bring 30 pieces of their meat to Dragoon K'Naae. This is an auto-update, not a dropped item.
- Every owlbear with ash in its name works, except the Ancient Ash Owlbear named mob.
- If you accepted this quest before LU37, 60 pieces were required — delete and re-accept for the current 30-piece requirement.

2. Kill undead near Nektropos Castle
Kill 30 undead near Nektropos Castle in Gargoyle Gorge. Patchwork men, decaying flesh beings, rotting followers of Grelkor, and ghouls at Camp Leott all count.

3. Fill the flask at Behemoth Pond
Dragoon K'Naae gives you a flask to fill with water at Behemoth Pond. You have a 9-minute timer to return the water after filling it.
- With updated griffon rides, fly from Darklight Wood griffon toward Commonlands, jump off in-flight over the diamond-shaped island (spacebar), land in the water, fill the flask, then fly back.

4. Retrieve the stolen weapon
A weapon was dishonorably taken from K'Naae by Captain T'Sanne. Travel to the Citadel of Gul'thex and retrieve it.
- A group of 4 skeleton mobs in the courtyard may need to be killed repeatedly until Captain T'Sanne spawns — up to three waves.
- Wave respawn is 20 minutes if not instant. Each wave is 4 level 30 heroic skeletons.
- If a second group of skeletons spawns just after you kill the first, T'Sanne is on his way.

5. Survive the assassin ambush
Upon returning with the weapon, three assassins (28v) attack. Protect K'Naae by killing them, then speak with him to complete the quest.
- Avoid using AE spells or combat arts unless encounter-only — you can aggro or kill Dragoon K'Naae.
- If you kill K'Naae, he respawns in about 5 minutes on Live servers (20+ minutes on Origins).

Tips
- Ash owlbear meat is an auto-update — you do not need to loot dropped items.
- Camp Leott ghouls (level 25–28) are easy to solo for the undead kill step.
- Use griffon rides to speed up the Behemoth Pond water run — jump off over the pond island to avoid fall damage.
- The Shiny Brass weapon reward is required for the Shadow Knight Epic Weapon questline.

Quest Text
I met an old but still very dangerous dark elf in the Nektulos forest. He seems to be a kind of leader of the dark elves that are roaming the forest. I am going to try and complete a few tasks for him to get on his good side and see what valuable information he knows.
Completion
After accomplishing a few tasks for Dragoon K'Naae, he sent me on a quest to recover a lost weapon of his from his past. I recovered the item and brought it back to him, just in time to fend off a strange assassination attempt by another group of Teir'Dal. Honor-bound, and not wanting to owe a debt for my help in saving his life, K'Naae gave me the weapon I recovered for him, the Shiny Brass Halberd.

I need to slay owlbears in the Nektulos forest and collect the meat for K'Naae's people. To impress him I am going to bring back high quality cuts of meat.
