Walkthrough
Hunt high-quality pelts in Eastern Wastes, craft a Coldain Hunting Blanket, and lay it on the Ring War Battlefield corpse for Malidain Glacierbane.
How to start
Talk to Malidain Glacierbane at the end of the river on the Daggerflow Glacier in Great Divide.

Notes & prerequisites
- Must have completed Silver Coldain Insignia Ring and carry the Silver ring.
- Adventure level 90 (Solo difficulty).
- Coldain Insignia Ring chain: Copper → Silver → Gold → Platinum → Obsidian → Mithril → Adamantium → Velium.
- Artisan level 2 to scribe; tradeskill level 15 to craft the blanket without losing pelts on failure.
Steps
1. Collect high-quality pelts
Collect 2 high quality cougar pelts from snowmane sabertooths or ravaging snowmane sabertooths, and 2 high quality kodiak pelts from sootpaw direbears or frostpaw direbears. Pelts are uncommon chest drops.

2. Craft the Coldain Hunting Blanket
Scribe the Coldain Hunting Blanket recipe (artisan level 2). Combine pelts with 1 glowing filament on a sewing table. The recipe is level 15 — failure destroys the pelts.
- If crafting fails, return to Eastern Wastes and hunt for replacement pelts.
Zone: Any sewing table
3. Lay the blanket on the ice-encased corpse
Lay the Coldain Hunting Blanket on the ice-encased corpse where you found the original copper ring.

4. Return to Malidain Glacierbane
Return to Malidain at the end of the river on Daggerflow Glacier.

Tips
- Coldain Insignia Ring chain: Copper → Silver → Gold → Platinum → Obsidian → Mithril → Adamantium → Velium.
- Keep all ring rewards in your inventory for later quest updates.
- Craft at tradeskill level 15+ to avoid losing pelts on a failed blanket combine.

Quest Text
Malidain Glacierbane has asked me to stitch together a blanket of his ancestor's devising, using only the highest quality cougar and kodiak pelts. I am then to leave the blanket at his ancestor's grave.
Completion
I left the ancestral blanket at Garadain Glacierbane's resting place. He hopes that it brings some amount of peace to his great-grandfather, and he gave me a gold ring for my efforts.
