Walkthrough

Restore a burned-out lightstone by visiting sacred sites and defeating enemies of the Knights of Truth across The Commonlands, culminating in a confrontation at Cannix Silverflame's camp.

How to start

Examine the Burned Out Lightstone dropped from the corpse of Lightbringer Wisp around the Ring of Nature druid rings in The Commonlands. The lightstone emanates a strange light that may be connected to the Knights of Truth who once inhabited the region.

Notes & prerequisites

Can be started and completed at adventure level 15.
Lightbringer Wisp spawns north-west of the druid rings around the few trees there.
Heroic difficulty — several named kills and a heroic instance are required.

Steps

1. Speak with Cannix Silverflame
Find Cannix Silverflame immediately west of The Crossroads and speak with him about the lightstone.

2. Touch the lightstone at sacred sites
Find and touch the lightstone at two POIs to charge it.

3. Receive the Faintly Lit Lightstone
Return to Cannix Silverflame for your first reward, the Faintly Lit Lightstone.

4. Kill Rama'nai
Defeat Rama'nai, a static spawn grouped with 2 savanna lionesses.

5. Receive the Dimly Lit Lightstone
Return to Cannix Silverflame for your second reward, the Dimly Lit Lightstone.

6. Kill the orc captains
Kill Captain Gaer and Captain Ogof. Both have placeholders and respawn in about 7 minutes — this step can take multiple respawn cycles.

7. Receive the Softly Glowing Lightstone
Return to Cannix Silverflame for your third reward, the Softly Glowing Lightstone.

8. Kill the High Priest of Val'Marr
Defeat the High Priest of Val'Marr at his tower. Diplomats at the tower are placeholders with ~7–8 minute respawn; rare chance of spawning the named.

9. Receive the Glimmering Lightstone
Return to Cannix Silverflame for your fourth reward, the Glimmering Lightstone.

10. Kill General Drull
Enter the heroic instance Bloodskull Valley: Maulic's Stronghold and kill General Drull. He appears in the fourth wave of a horde of level 22 enemies. Only his death is required — completing the entire instance is not necessary.
- All group or raid members must talk to Amulius Ramio crouching behind a big rock outside the Bloodskull Valley entrance. Hail him until he completes his entire dialog — may require two or more conversations.
- If you die inside, you stay in the instance — keep fighting until General Drull appears.
- The zone is persistent (2 days 20 hours minimum, 7 days maximum). Check status with Alt+Z. If you leave before killing Drull, speak to Amulius Ramio again to regain entrance.

11. Defend Cannix from the Lucanic Knights
Return to Cannix Silverflame. A Lucanic Knight Initiate and two Militia guards will spawn, kill Cannix, and then attack you. You must kill them to complete the quest, even if they are gray.
- Wait for the soldiers to kill Cannix first — Cannix becomes non-attackable and the knight and guards are non-aggro until then.
- Step back and let them kill Cannix, then kill the knight and guards.
- If you kill the knight and guards first, talk to Cannix to get them to respawn.

Tips

Lightbringer Wisp has a 30-minute spawn timer on the Origins server.
Captain Gaer and Captain Ogof placeholders can make the orc captain step take many respawn cycles.
Hail Amulius Ramio fully before entering Maulic's Stronghold — every group member must complete his dialog.
Do not attack Cannix during the final step — let the Lucanic Knight kill him first.
