Walkthrough

Steps

Slay 8 invading elementals wandering around nearby rift. They become aggressive when you get near and scale to your level.
Use Hyperspatial Exscindator you received from Tavari on the a violent rift itself in an attempt to close it. You get knocked back and wake up not far, next to a person wearing magically imbued armor.
