Walkthrough
Begin the Greenmist heritage timeline by speaking with Danak Dhorentath and an Essence of Fear, then prove your worth to Xuurk in the Lost Temple of Cabilis.
How to start
Harvest the statue of Cazic-Thule in the room on the right after zoning into Emperor Atrebe's Laboratory: The Fabled City of Kor-sha.

- Part of the Greenmist heritage timeline — this quest precedes The Word of Fear in the chain.
Steps
1. Speak with Danak Dhorentath
Travel to Butcherblock Mountains and speak with Danak Dhorentath, Prophet of Fear, on the path to Unrest.

2. Speak to an Essence of Fear
Enter Shard of Fear in The Feerrott and speak to an Essence of Fear at the very back of the dungeon in front of the fire wall around the temple. Click on the building/structure to enter, not the glowing part.
- If you cannot enter, you may need to mentor down to level 70–75.

3. Kill a mass of iksar spirits
Kill a mass of iksar spirits (80^^^). Grey kills count.

4. Speak to the Essence of Fear again
Return to an Essence of Fear and speak with it again.

5. Speak to Xuurk
Speak to Xuurk in Lost Temple of Cabilis. The temple is an underground door near the Cabilis sokokar post in the Fens of Nathsar ruins.

Tips
- Greenmist chain order: The Name of Fear → The Word of Fear → The Call of Fear → The Path of Fear → The Triumph of Fear.
- Shard of Fear access may require mentoring if you are over-level.
- The mass of iksar spirits only spawns after hailing the Essence of Fear — re-hail if it is missing.

Quest Text
I have found an idol to the god of fear, Cazic-Thule, resting within the halls of Kor-sha. Something strange happened when I picked it up, like a waking nightmare of some kind. Although it didn't seem to last long and I was released from the grip of terror, I heard a voice within my head that seemed to command me to "find the Harbinger". I do not know of whom this voice may be speaking, but perhaps I can find someone who does -- someone who might know the will of Cazic-Thule.
Completion
I have been to the Shard of Fear, and have spoken with what appeared to be an essence of Cazic-Thule. At his request, I searched through the ruins of Cabilis until I discovered a once-hidden temple to Cazic-Thule. There, I found a sect of Cazite-worshiping iksar, who have rejected the current tenets of Sathirian religion in favor of the Faceless. With the iksar possibly on the brink of extinction, there is certainly much more to be done.
Stages
- Stage 1
I must attempt to find the "Harbinger" spoken of by the idol of Cazic-Thule.
I must locate the Harbinger spoken of by the voice I heard after interacting with the statue. I should search for someone who might know the will of Cazic-Thule.

I have to travel to the Shard of Fear, and seek out an Essence of Fear to find more information on the Harbinger.
I must journey to the Shard of Fear, and speak with the Essence of Fear.

I must locate the "falsity" mentioned by the Essence of Fear, and destroy it.
Zone: Shard Of FearDone: I have defeated a twisting mass of iksar spirits, which might be the creature the Essence was speaking of. I should return and speak with it.
I should return to the Essence of Fear and report my success.
