As part of her studies, she would like me to collect some bone fragments from the scorched skeletons that congregate about the spires. I can find the spires just southeast of Spire Shadow Outpost." -- Everquest II Journal

Steps

Collect 10 scorched bone fragments by killing scorched skeleton apprentices or scorched skeleton wizards at The Combine Spires.

Mentha Haora: "What brings you to this corner of the Faydark, my forest sibling?:
- Player Character: "My search for adventure."
  - Mentha Haora: "Really? Well, at least you came out here of your own choice. I'm supposed to be here investigating the Combine Spires. Specifically, the Order of the Arcane wanted me to study the scorched skeletons that congregate around the Spires."
- Player Character: "My search for rewards."
  - Mentha Haora: "Really? Well, at least you came out here of your own choice. I'm supposed to be here investigating the Combine Spires. Specifically, the Order of the Arcane wanted me to study the scorched skeletons that congregate around the Spires."
- Player Character: "Did you call me sibling?"
  - Mentha Haora: "Of course. I am a child of the Nursery, born of spirit bud, but we are all children of Faydark."
    - Player Character: "If you say so."
    - Player Character: "Oh, right!"
  - Mentha Haora: "Well, whatever brings you, I bet you came out here of your own choice. I'm supposed to be here investigating the Combine Spires. Specifically, the Order of the Arcane wanted me to study the scorched skeletons that congregate around the spires."
Player Character: "Why?"
Mentha Haora: "There is some question as to the cause of the undead and I have been tasked to solve the mystery, as best I can. If you are interested in helping me, I could use some samples of the scorched skeleton bones for a test I have to run. There are plenty of them around the spires south-east of here."
Player Character: "Sure, I can get the samples."

Mentha Haora: "Have you collected the bone fragments?"
Player Character: "Yes, I have."
Mentha Haora: "Great! This makes the next step possible. Mmhmm... okay!"
Player Character: "Okay?"
Mentha Haora: "The scroll has been completed."
