Examine the Ill-Fated Cleric Journal from Agony, collect blood from four Temple named, and defeat Gorfuzod the Keeper to claim the Screaming Mace.

How to start

The quest begins by examining an Ill-Fated Cleric Journal — a chest drop from Agony in the Feerrott. Agony respawns in roughly 17 minutes if all three named thought bleeders are killed; killing only Agony and leaving the others alive shortens respawn to about 5 minutes.

Adventure level 50+ (Heroic difficulty).
Bring a group for the Temple of Cazic-Thule and the Chamber of the Keeper.

Steps

1. Enter the Temple of Cazic-Thule
Enter the Temple of Cazic-Thule from the Feerrott.
- Temple entrance
Zone: The Temple of Cazic-Thule · The Feerrott
2. Collect the blood of the four
Kill the four named and collect 40 lizardman kills in the temple.
- Kill 40 lizardmen anywhere in the Temple of Cazic-Thule.
- Hukulan the Despoiler
- Kaxor the Cenobite
- Xilarga the Tae Ew Champion
- Tzugaax the Torturer

3. Find the Fountain of Fear
Locate the Fountain of Fear to start a one-hour timer.
- The update triggers at the lower section of the pool, not the upper ring event area for the Acidic Mass.

4. Examine the Basin of Bara'Kur
Within the time limit, find and examine the Basin of Bara'Kur to receive a Congealed Blood Sphere.

5. Obtain a key from Thulian terrorfiends
Kill Thulian terrorfiends until you receive a key (auto-update). They share spawns with other Thulian amygdalans.

6. Enter the Chamber of the Keeper
Use the key to enter the special instance The Chamber of the Keeper.
- Chamber of the Keeper entrance
Zone: The Sanctum of Fear · The Temple of Cazic-Thule
7. Kill Gorfuzod the Keeper
Defeat Gorfuzod the Keeper. See the Chamber of the Keeper walkthrough for summoning details.
- After the Keeper dies, the Screaming Mace spawns above the table at the back of the room — claim it to complete the quest.

Tips

If farming the journal for alts, kill Agony only and leave at least one other named thought bleeder alive for faster respawns.
The Fountain of Fear step starts a strict one-hour timer — plan your Basin of Bara'Kur visit before triggering it.
