Walkthrough
Examine the Ill-Fated Cleric Journal from Agony, collect blood from four Temple named, and defeat Gorfuzod the Keeper to claim the Screaming Mace.
How to start
The quest begins by examining an Ill-Fated Cleric Journal — a chest drop from Agony in the Feerrott. Agony respawns in roughly 17 minutes if all three named thought bleeders are killed; killing only Agony and leaving the others alive shortens respawn to about 5 minutes.

- Bring a group for the Temple of Cazic-Thule and the Chamber of the Keeper.
Steps
1. Enter the Temple of Cazic-Thule
Enter the Temple of Cazic-Thule from the Feerrott.

2. Collect the blood of the four
Kill the four named and collect 40 lizardman kills in the temple.

- Tzugaax the Torturer

3. Find the Fountain of Fear
Locate the Fountain of Fear to start a one-hour timer.
- The update triggers at the lower section of the pool, not the upper ring event area for the Acidic Mass.

4. Examine the Basin of Bara'Kur
Within the time limit, find and examine the Basin of Bara'Kur to receive a Congealed Blood Sphere.

5. Obtain a key from Thulian terrorfiends
Kill Thulian terrorfiends until you receive a key (auto-update). They share spawns with other Thulian amygdalans.

6. Enter the Chamber of the Keeper
Use the key to enter the special instance The Chamber of the Keeper.

7. Kill Gorfuzod the Keeper
Defeat Gorfuzod the Keeper. See the Chamber of the Keeper walkthrough for summoning details.
- After the Keeper dies, the Screaming Mace spawns above the table at the back of the room — claim it to complete the quest.

Tips
- If farming the journal for alts, kill Agony only and leave at least one other named thought bleeder alive for faster respawns.
- The Fountain of Fear step starts a strict one-hour timer — plan your Basin of Bara'Kur visit before triggering it.

Quest Text
I obtained a very old journal from a creature in the Feerrott. It appears to be the journal of an explorer or pilgrim that was seeking a mace within the Temple of Cazic-Thule. The Screaming Mace may very well still be inside the temple. A scrap of old paper tucked in the journal described the steps to enter the chamber where the mace is kept.
Completion
I have recovered the Screaming Mace! After performing the Ritual of Blood, I destroyed the Keeper of the mace and took it from its ancient resting place.
