Uncover the history of Gynok Moltor by hunting named mobs in Erudin, Paineel, and Befallen, then defeat the False Sepulchre guardians for the Paw of Opolla heritage reward.
How to start
Speak to Nabih Qusafi at the Mausoleum of Scholars in The Stonebrunt Highlands.

- Heroic difficulty — Befallen heroic instances and False Sepulchre roper pair.
- T9 (level 90+) Befallen instances required for book drops.
Steps
1. Kill Archivist Fahim
Enter the Library of Erudin and kill Archivist Fahim for The Chronicon Temporum. This is a group update.

2. Speak to Nabih Qusafi
Return to Nabih Qusafi.

3. Find the clue in Paineel
Open a box in the Hall of Necromancy to receive Spectacles of Anti-Obfuscation. Equip them, then read the note on another table in the same room.
- Remember to re-equip your helmet after reading the note.

4. Speak to Arzachel
Find Arzachel at the Ruins of Befallen.

5. Obtain The Enchiridion of Undeath or an Ulteran diamond
Either kill The Bonegrinder in Befallen: Cavern of the Afflicted and loot The Enchiridion of Undeath, or acquire an Ulteran diamond (rare T9 gem from harvesting or broker). Give the item to Arzachel and complete the full dialog — this is 2 updates.
- Must be a T9 instance or The Enchiridion of Undeath will not drop.
- Make sure you complete the entire dialog with Arzachel.

6. Kill Dread Exarch Mordek
Kill Dread Exarch Mordek in Befallen: Necrotic Asylum and examine the book looted from the body. You must use the L90+ version of the zone.
- You must be in the zone while examining the book to get the update (though some players report it working outside the zone).

7. Find Animist Butrus
Talk to Neophyte Dolor in the Hall of Necromancy until you get a response, then find Animist Butrus.

8. Find Animist Butrus's corpse
Find Animist Butrus before he reaches The Stonebrunt Highlands. His corpse is in the far northeast corner of Toxxulia's Reach.
- Click the corpse to receive Diary of Butrus.

9. Investigate the False Sepulchre
Enter The False Sepulchre outside Windstalker Village and defeat the defenders. Kill four groups of heroic 93^ skeletons (linked groups of three), then defeat the two named ropers.
- Cranioxyth and Fibrodysaith are linked level 94^^ heroics with melee AE — very hard to solo, bring help.
- Do not have The History of Gynok Moltor in your inventory already or the chest will be empty.

10. Open the chest for your reward
Open the chest to receive the Paw of Opolla and The History of Gynok Moltor.

Tips
- Use T9 (level 90+) Befallen instances for all book drops.
- The Arzachel dialog step requires two updates — finish the full conversation.
- Clear The History of Gynok Moltor from inventory before opening the final chest.
- The roper pair at the end of False Sepulchre is the hardest fight — bring a group.
