Walkthrough
Help Charly Ashlash in Lavastorm hunt crawlers and drakes, bait a trap for Big Squiggly, disable and reactivate five spires, defeat the Magolemus, and slay Efreeti Lord Djarn to earn Golden Efreeti Boots.
How to start
Speak with Charly Ashlash, who roams Najena's Valley in Lavastorm. You must speak Goblish to receive this quest.

- Epic difficulty — Big Squiggly, Solusek's Eye, spire puzzles, and Efreeti Lord Djarn.

Steps
1. Slay 50 crawlers
Slay 50 centipede crawlers such as juvenile lava crawlers in Najena's Valley.

2. Slay 50 drakes or wyrms
Slay 50 drakes or wyrms. Magma wormlings are a nearby option.

3. Examine the Old Worn Left Boot
Return to Charly Ashlash and examine the Old Worn Left Boot he gives you.

4. Find smelly fish bait
Find the corpse of a smelly fish to use as bait. Obtain it from Foulgill the Rotten or a slightly smelly fish.

5. Bait the trap and kill Big Squiggly
You have two hours to bait the trap. A hungry goblin runs to the trap and is consumed by Big Squiggly — kill the monster to receive an Old Worn Right Boot.

6. Speak to Tazgar at Temple of Solusek Ro
Seek out Tazgar in the Temple of Solusek Ro to verify the boots are truly Efreeti made. When you speak to him, 4–5 mobs spawn — kill them and speak to him again.

7. Farm a key in Solusek's Eye
Enter Solusek's Eye and kill Defenders of Thyr and Pyredukes of Thyr until you receive a key (semi-rare auto-updating drop). Find them on the fifth level.
- Use the portal to The Speaker of Fates room for quick access if unlocked.
- Refer to the Solusek's Eye walkthrough for navigation help.

8. Disable the five spires
Use the key to disable the spires back in Lavastorm. Recommended order for minimal backtracking: Spire One, Spire Four, Spire Five, Spire Two, Spire Three.

9. Defeat the Magolemus
When all spires are disabled, defeat the Magolemus. He attacks with knockback — put your back to a wall.

10. Hail the Projection of Najena
After killing the Magolemus, hail A Projection of Najena who spawns on the corpse. You do not need to kill the Magolemus yourself — hailing works even if others killed him.
- Warning: The Projection of Najena despawns very quickly.
- If you cannot see the dialogue box, lower your resolution to Extreme Performance.

11. Reactivate the spires
Reactivate the five spires you disabled in the previous step, using the same locations.

12. Return to Tazgar
Return to Tazgar after reactivating the spires.

13. Kill Efreeti Lord Djarn
Enter the Bastion of Flames within Solusek's Eye and kill Efreeti Lord Djarn. The entrance is on the fifth level.
- Use the teleporter to The Speaker of Fates room for fastest access if unlocked.

14. Return to Tazgar for your reward
Return to Tazgar to complete the quest and receive Golden Efreeti Boots.

Tips
- Speak Goblish before seeking Charly — he will not offer the quest otherwise.
- Disable spires in the recommended order to minimize backtracking across Lavastorm.
- The Projection of Najena step is time-sensitive — hail immediately after the Magolemus dies.
- Plan two trips to Tazgar and one full Solusek's Eye run for the key and Djarn fight.

Quest Text
It seems I have a job as exterminator for Charly Ashlash, a Sootfoot goblin. He wants me to destroy a good amount of creatures that threaten his workers. He better pay well for this work.
Completion
After getting the left boot from Charly Ashlash and the right boot from the belly of Big Squiggly I was able to finally get Tazgar to repair them. I now have myself a new pair of Golden Efreeti Boots. I should probably not bother Tazgar anymore.
