Upgrade your Adamantium Coldain Insignia Ring to Velium by killing cavalry in the Battle of Storm Gorge public quest.

How to start

Speak to Malidain Glacierbane in the Throne of the Dains in Thurgadin to begin.

Notes & prerequisites

Adventure level 90+ required.
Complete Adamantium Coldain Insignia Ring — you must have the Adamantium ring with you.
Heroic difficulty — Battle of Storm Gorge public quest may require heroic or raid difficulty to spawn cavalry.

Steps

1. Speak to Malidain Glacierbane
Speak to Malidain Glacierbane in the Throne of the Dains.
- Malidain Glacierbane
Zone: Thurgadin, City of the Coldain
2. Kill cavalry in Battle of Storm Gorge
Kill 20 cavalry and 1 cavalry leader in the Battle of Storm Gorge public quest.
- This may need to be a heroic or raid difficulty public quest for the cavalry mobs to spawn.
- A full single group can spawn the cavalry leader — 5 epic x2 mobs.
Zone: Battle of Storm Gorge
3. Return for your reward
Return to Malidain Glacierbane with the Adamantium Coldain Insignia Ring in your inventory to receive your Velium ring.
- You must have the Adamantium Coldain Insignia Ring with you for the turn-in.
- Malidain Glacierbane
Zone: Thurgadin, City of the Coldain

Tips

Keep the Adamantium ring on you throughout — the quest giver will not update without it.
If cavalry are not spawning, try heroic or raid difficulty Battle of Storm Gorge.

Quest Text

The Rime are preparing a cavalry attack on Storm Gorge, and the coldain are doomed to fail if they do not receive immediate assistance. Malidain Glacierbane has asked me to head there as soon as possible, and to bring help!

Completion

I fended off the Rime in the battle of Storm Gorge, defeating a cavalry leader in the process!
