I cannot allow another Cazic Thule to be absorbed into Ethernere. The "false Cazic" must have chosen a leader amongst the lizardmen. Gulthga has suggested that I find this leader and silence him. I did not see a leader among those I killed at the Fear Portal, so he must have taken up residence within the Temple of the Faceless.
I defeated a dragon that appeared to be leading the lizardmen, but was in fact their captive. It explained that the Avatar of Fear had been controlling it, and that I should seek him out if I wished to break Cazic's hold over the lizardmen.
I need to enter the Temple of the Faceless and find the leader there. Killing his servants should draw him out.
Kill lizardmen within the Temple of the Faceless
The leader has not emerged, but killing the lizardmen has provided me with a clue to his location.
I need to reach the upper level of the temple, though the teleporters appear to be inactive. Perhaps if they were soaked in the blood of my enemies...
Defeat Sarinich to gain access to the upper floor of the temple
Slaying Sarinich has activated the teleporters at the north edge of the temple.
I must defeat the Shiverback King, Baroddas, in order to safely enter the temple itself.
Defeat Baroddas
I've defeated Baroddas, opening the iron gate to the north.
The giant slime in the temple cannot possibly be the leader. I should use the waterfall behind him to access the lower temple grounds.
Access the lower temple grounds using the waterfall behind Phobis
I've reached the lower temple grounds.
The lizardmen's leader is sure to be on the platform at the north end of the temple. I should proceed there and put a stop to his rule!
Slay the leader of the lizardmen
Done: I've defeated Venekor.
Speak to Venekor's shade near where he was slain
The dragon I defeated was Venekor! I guess he really is dead... However, he was not the lizardmen's leader. He gave me the name "Baelon".
Now that I know the name of the true leader of the lizardmen, I should return to Gulthga. Perhaps he will know where I can find him.
Speak to Gulthga
I've spoken to Gulthga.
