Trace the legacy of Orisin Deepwell from Thurgadin through Kaladim and Temple of Veeshan to recover Neragul's key and open his hidden cache.
How to start
Speak with Loremaster Dorondal in Thurgadin, City of the Coldain to begin the Zlandicar heritage timeline.

Steps
1. Find a descendent of Orisin Deepwell
Talk to Olmyr Deepwell in the Hall of Conviction of Teren's Grasp.

2. Find Orisin's Tomb
Travel to Orisin's Tomb in the Underfoot Cathedral. Neragul and his minions arrive first — kill the group of three heroic level 103 aerakyns that spawn, then search the tomb.

3. Search the tomb
Click the tomb where Neragul was previously standing to search it.

4. Kill Neragul and examine the letter
Track down Neragul in his normal location in Halls of the Betrayer (Heroic). Killing him gives a letter — examine it. Killing Neragul in the Advanced Solo instance does NOT give the update.
- You must kill Neragul in the Heroic instance, not Advanced Solo.

5. Find Neragul's Cache
In the middle room where Grendish the Betrayer is located, clear the room and let Grendish fly off. On the south wall above the platform, find a square wall decoration with a gold frame and blue/green glowing center. You need a flying mount to reach it and click the glowing square.

6. Return to Loremaster Dorondal
Return to Loremaster Dorondal in Thurgadin to complete the quest and receive A Monk's Heart.

Tips
- Neragul's Cache requires a flying mount to reach the glowing square above Grendish's platform.
- The Advanced Solo Halls of the Betrayer instance will not update the Neragul kill step.
- Clear Grendish's room normally and wait for him to fly off before searching for the cache.

Quest Text
I ran into a loremaster of Thurgadin who goes by the name of Dorondal. He was interested in hiring an adventurer to track down an artifact he was very interested in: "Jaled Dar's key." Seeing as I'm very much the adventuring type, I signed up. Seems like a fairly straightforward task...
Completion
Nothing is ever straightforward in Norrath. A monk by the name of Khrolan completed Dorondal's task before me, and now holds Zlandicar's Heart, the reward that Dorondal gave him. This means that Khrolan is now a target for the Awakened... they want Zlandicar's Heart badly, for what reason I cannot be sure. I just know that Khrolan is in danger, and that Norrath is better off with Zlandicar's Heart not being in the hands of the Awakened.
Stages
- Stage 1
The name Deepwell is the only clue I have as to the wherabouts of Jaled Dar's key. I think the first step is to see if any of his descendants made it to the present day. Perhaps one of them would know something about it.

I found one of Orisin's descendents! Olmyr Deepwell and the entire Deepwell family seems enamored of their ancestor. Orisin knew the location of Jaled Dar's key, and gave me permission to retrieve it from Orisin's tomb in Kaladim.

I'm travelling to Kaladim in order to retrieve Jaled Dar's key from Orisin Deepwell's tomb. This should be easy enough!

An Aerakyn strike group beat me to Orisin's key. Neragul teleported out immediately, while his minions kept me busy.
