Rescue an ambushed gnome in The Bonemire, sample soil across the zone, harvest a Gnomish Dizzwangle, and complete Gimdimble Fizzwoddle's experiments to earn the Bag of the Tinkerers.
How to start
Rescue an ambushed gnome near the Doomwing Dig Site to start the quest, then speak to Gimdimble Fizzwoddle. You must know the Gnomish language. The quest can be started at level 60.

14. Collect 10 soil samples in Hive Vornerus
Enter Hive Vornerus on the southern island and collect 10 soil samples inside the hive (not the exterior). A climbable wall at 18, 128, 930 can help avoid or break aggro.

15. Return to Gimdimble Fizzwoddle
Return to Gimdimble with the soil samples.

16. Harvest a Gnomish Dizzwangle
Harvest a Gnomish Dizzwangle from the very lowest reaches of the central island. You will see "Careful! It's windy down here!" when it spawns. Collect quickly — it despawns after a few minutes. You will be tossed into the air after collecting.
Face inward toward the island center when collecting to land safely after being tossed.

Return to Gimdimble with the Gnomish Dizzwangle.

Return to Gimdimble after the kill updates.

20. Grab Gimdimble's Tools
Grab Gimdimble's Tools from the central island.

21. Return to Gimdimble Fizzwoddle
Return the tools to Gimdimble.

22. Kill the young dragon
Kill the young dragon that dwells around the entrance to The Halls of Fate. To spawn: go to the entrance at -2, -375, -31 — the dragon spawns below and slowly flies to its perch (~5 minutes). Pull it inside the staircase area to avoid knockback off the island.
The dragon has incredible knockback — keep your group at the bottom of the stairs.
Have one member spawn the dragon, then run back for the group pull.

23. Return to Gimdimble and use the rocket pack
Return to Gimdimble Fizzwoddle. Equip the cap with +200 Safe Fall, then use the rocket pack. After the ride and fall, speak to Gimdimble again for the Bag of the Tinkerers.

Tips
Speak Gnomish before attempting — the quest cannot begin without it.
Rescue the ambushed gnome at 117, 69, 578 before speaking to Gimdimble.
The Gnomish Dizzwangle despawns quickly — collect immediately after the windy message.
For the dragon fight, pull inside the Halls of Fate staircase to contain knockback.
