I've procured what appears to be the spine, or at least a bony object resembling a spine, off of a soul parasite's corpse. It appears to be shaped much like a staff, and I believe it could be made to function as such with a little work.
I've gathered all of the necessary components and integrated them into the spine resulting in the Spinestaff.
I need to gather the various ingredients and combine them with the spine to complete the staff.
I need to kill albino cave snakes and gather unmarred swathes of white snakeskin.
Done: I've gathered the necessary four swathes of snakeskin.
I've determined that a lacquer using the locale's lichen would serve well as a protectant for the spine. The mist grinnin herbalists will assuredly carry such a substance, and I estimate that three vials would suffice.
Done: I have gained three vials of the lichen-infused lacquer.
A mighty soul parasite, called the Obdurate Parasite, holds a powerful arcane focus called the Heart of Souls. I need to acquire this focus to complete the staff.
Done: I have killed the Obdurate Parasite and gained the Heart of Souls.
I've completed the Spinestaff!
