Steps

Inspect the large tome named 'Banners, Banners, Banners!' in the Enlightenment Aviary at . Avoid killing the animated barricades while going to inspect the book. Note: On Origins Anashti Sul server, players can collect all gems beforehand, banking or keeping them in inventory--which is advised for efficient completion.
Loot six unique gems from chests dropped by mobs in the Enlightenment Aviary:
- Gems I, II, III, IV and VI from animated barricades
- Gem V from Palace Adjutant Drakknair
  - To spawn this mob you need to clear the entire room. The room will respawn 25 minutes after Drakknair and his guards are defeated.
- All the gems are LORE and NO-TRADE and each person in the group must loot all six to update their quest.
Place the gems in the banners in the correct order. Using the diagram on the right:
1. Face the room from the elevator.
2. Start with the banner on the left (I) and move clockwise:
  1. Gem of I
  2. Gem of II
  3. Gem of III
  4. Gem of VI - Gem of 6, not 4!
  5. Gem of V
  6. Gem of IV - Gem of 4, not 6!
- Make sure to place the correct gem in the correct banner or you will lose the gem you placed and have to acquire it again.
- If you are completing the quest as a group, only one person should attempt each update at a time, so that any mistakes will only need one gem as a replacement. As you place the gems they will vanish and you will get an update.
Inspect the large books in the Enlightenment Aviary at to receive 'the egg key'.
Examine 'the egg key' from your inventory.
Go down the elevator to the Nest of the Overseers and examine the chest at to receive a large ornate egg.
- Avoid killing any Bloodscale counselors while running to the chest because you will need them for a following step. Run to and climb the stairs leading to the Deliberation Chamber to cause all aggroed mobs to reset.
Examine 'a large ornate egg' from your inventory.
Kill Bloodscale counselors in the Nest of the Overseers for an uncommon update.
Examine 'a large ornate egg' again.
Head to the Oratory of Naar'Yora and enter the circle at the center of the room at .
- Do not kill the Skylord before entering the circle since you need him for the following step.
Kill Skylord Stormclaw.
Speak to 'The Second Shard of Aaryonar', who will spawn where the Skylord was slain.

Trivia

The title of this quest is likely an homage to the 1947 war movie Twelve O'Clock High about crews of the United States Army's Eighth Air Force who flew daylight bombing missions against Nazi Germany and occupied France during the early days of American involvement in World War II.
