What Dreams May Come
Walkthrough
Rebuild the Coldain Prayer Shawl through a nine-class tradeskill chain, then recharge it with summoning crystals in the Glacial Cave to earn the Blessed Coldain Prayer Shawl heritage reward.
How to start
Speak with Tora while still in the Vision of the Past from the previous quest Inside the Vision. If you left or need to restart, find Tora at the Ring War site in the Great Divide.
- Tora (Ring War site)
- Tora (Vision of the Past)
Notes & prerequisites
- Adventure level 90+ required; recipes require a level 90 crafter.
- Complete Inside the Vision immediately before this quest.
- Complete Eirik's quests at The Thurgadin Exchange and build 40,000 faction with Forgemasters of Thurgadin (via Mikk Eishammer's faction quests after Tora's quests).
- All nine crafting classes are needed for the shawl reconstruction — items must be in your character's bag for quest updates, not just the shared bank.
- Pre-gather harvestables, fuel, and special items listed on the Fandom page before starting.

- Library scroll (2nd shelf from bottom)
Zone: Thurgadin, City of the Coldain
4. Speak to Loremaster Verdandi
Speak to Loremaster Verdandi in The Temple of Brell. She will not tell you about the prayer shawl until you have 40,000 faction with Forgemasters of Thurgadin.
- Loremaster Verdandi
Zone: Thurgadin, City of the Coldain
5. Speak to Capru and retrieve the damaged shawl
Speak to Capru in Goahmari Village, then retrieve the Damaged Coldain Prayer Shawl from the box at Capru's feet.
Tips
- Craft combines must happen in order: Carpenter → Armorer + Weaponsmith → Woodworker → Alchemist + Provisioner → Sage → Tailor + Jeweler → final shawl combine.
- Never craft the Sage combine before the Woodworker combine — consumed items will skip quest updates.
- Quest journal must update after each combine — items in shared bank alone will not count.
- Build Forgemasters of Thurgadin faction to 40,000 before expecting shawl instructions from Loremaster Verdandi.
- Pre-gather all harvestables, fuel, and special items (Gnomish Pirate Spirits, Crystalline Spiderling Silk, Genuine Velium Powder, Woven Frost Giant Beard, fresh clay) before the crafting marathon.

Quest Text
As I earned the trust of the Coldain, I also learned that the current residents of Thurgadin bear a heavy burden of guilt. As the Kromrif armies marched on Thurgadin and the brave Coldain defenders began to fail, those within Thurgadin unleashed the waterfall running above the city, flooding the plain of war and freezing to death all the combatants below. Hundreds of years later, the spirits of those dwarves killed in the icy flood are still endlessly reliving their fight against the ghostly giants, unable to proceed to their afterlife in the Halls of the Creator. I do not know whether there is anything with the power to free the spirits, but I have promised to try.
Completion
I used the information I had learned from my travels in the Great Divide to locate the original prayer shawl from where the mighty Stormfeather had left it in the Goahmari village. I used my own knowledge and information from the Loremasters of Thurgadin to restore the shawl as far as possible, and then Tora helped me summon the trapped coldain spirits to the shawl to see if the residual blessing would free them. Unfortunately it did not, but our actions attracted the attention of Brell himself. Brell admired my craftsmanship in restoring the shawl, and blessed it once again. He also explained that the work of the coldain spirits is not yet complete, but that they are not forgotten and will join him in the Halls of the Creator once their task is done. Tora and the other coldain were overjoyed to learn their ancestors have not been forgotten by Brell, and that it was not their fault that the spirits remain trapped. I have earned the undying gratitude of Thurgadin, and have a remarkable artifact to wear also.
Stages
- Stage 1
The gnomish pirates are found on Thurgadin Dock. Although they have moved away from their old camp, where Brell is said to have appeared, it's possible they may remember some details from the stories of their ancestors.
I should learn more from the gnomish pirates.

- Stage 3
Loremaster Verdandi is in the library in the Temple of Brell in Thurgadin.
Ask the loremaster if any more information is available about the shawl or its owner.
Zone: Exp07 Rgn ThurgadinDone: Loremaster Verdandi told me what she knew about the shawl's fate, but it wasn't much. It's commonly believed its owner was killed while fighting snow griffins or giants or similar.
